Anyone an expert on making bay area websites?
Hey BAIC,
Any of you know how to make websites? I'm trying to make a super basic site, just got a domain name now I need to figure how to make it into something!

if you get a hosting company for something like 9 or 10/month, you should have enough tools to build a site yourself. it is not complicated anymore and you don't need a developer. just contact web hosting companies like www.1and1.com or www.netfirms.com... there are many others even www.yahoo.com has one.

with netfirms you can do the FREE service to try it out for as long as you want. they will give you a tool to download that you can build a site with that you can host anywhere.
you can also go to www.netobjects.com to download a development software for free. it is very easy to use and i have been using it for almost 8 years now. great stuff.

So on top of the yearly domain fee, I also need to pay a monthly fee to actually have the website up and running? If you pay for a web site maker does it also include the hosting and stuff?
