Their LS40 looks seriously sweet. As do the many manufacturers who make cobra kit cars
http://www.thunderranch.com/
Their porsche speedster and spyder look seriously sweet as well, and aren't that much turnkey.
Most kit car makers advertise their kits as being assemble-able by anyone with a basic understanding of working on cars, which I find a bit hard to believe. Anyone happen to put one together before?

most kit cars take a common car as a doner, using it for the motor, or springs and crap... the kit comes with the body and other bits to make everyting work. but another car is needed to make it work....most of the time

Those are the weak ones though! (based on fiero, VW bug) The cool ones like the Noble M12, Ultima GTR, seem to be designed from scratch.
VERY cool: FFR's GTM kit supercar http://www.factoryfive.com/table/ffr...TM/GTMkit.html

The LS40 above requires a 2.0L Zetec from a Focus...

the 2L Zetec from a Focus, which from all indications is better engineered than the EJ205 in a WRX, an engine FHI haphazardly threw into the WRX in the first place so consumers would have a handicap and stop modifying WRX's to be STI's.
