You may get them faded. I tracked Laguna once on Stoptech SP (was my 3rd time on Laguna, NCRC Solo Group). Didn't like it. I actually liked OEMs better on Laguna (Just had them before Stoptechs).

Do you want pads that can be used as DD and track or ready to swap pads for track? Your choice is rather limited if you want do-it-all pad. DS2500 probably would be the best candidate if you don't want any braking noise. I never used them but heard they are not very noisy. Hawk HP+ are noisy pads FWIK. I had ProjectMu HC+(800). Great pads if you don't mind people staring at you.

Then you have more options! And it's the proper way.

hp+ is hardly a track dedicated compound, most pads get loud when it isn't bed in very well.

Same with any other "hybrid" street/track pad: Hawk HP+, PMU HC+, Carbotech XP8, etc...

My HC+ were somewhat quiter after track as they had a nice "bed-in" layer but after a few days/weeks they were cleaning themselves and noise levels were going up. I think it's hard to keep track-worthy pad nicely bedded while driving them on a street. That was my issue with HC+: after a few month of street driving deposition layer got messed up by street driving -> vibrations...

Interesting, never had noise problems until, using dtc-60 or 70 with floating rotors.
