Man tell her it doesn't matter. Parents pretty much mentally rank Cupertino/saratoga/that area schools on average SAT scores and how many kids get into Stanford each year. If you care heavily about success and send a kid to a supposed "good school" and they don't really care about academics it just messes up their self esteem.
It's more like, if she cares about her kids' future she'd think about what he's interested in (is it robotics? computers? Speech and Debate? whatever?) and then actually look at what high school has what good program, rather than "which school has the most rich affluent people)
And that title probably goes to Crystal Springs Upland a little up north, where Barry Bonds and Steve Jobs sent their kids. Probably the best non-magnet (IE non strictly genius) school around this area.

Schools can only do so much. I believe parents are the real factor in how kids do in school. People may believe that asian kids are just smarter (such as Monta Vista or Mission San Jose), but it's because of how many after school programs the parents are making their kids do, all the stupid restrictions they enforce to make their kid study more, and how the kids are raised.
Hell, you can look at Perris High school (where my roommate is from), which is ranked absolute garbage. Still, he got a 4.5 in high school, and because of his grades, he's basically getting a free ride + funding a '07 tC all off of financial aid.

Coming from a school ranked as one of the top 5 for California based on API scores (Lowell, Monta Vista and Mission San Jose are the Bay Area schools ranked in the top 5), I'll tell you it's not the school, but the students. The school I went to had the worst facilities compared to the rest of the schools in the district. The teachers ranged from meh to great. I guess the social atmosphere that everyone's studying (making it the normal or "trendy" thing to do) helps, but it's totally based on the student.
To answer the question though, it's Monta Vista High School. Lynbrook is a good school, but it's in San Jose. Also, she will pay through the nose on housing.
