Anybody know how hard/easy it is to install this piece?

Just got my first Sub WRX (2002 wagon), and this piece was all jacked up so I bought a replacement piece. Anyone know how hard the piece in the picture is to remove and install a new one?

Also, how hard is it to remove and install passenger and driver eats (non power)?

if it's anything like the 00, you remove the center arm rest and remove the cover by the shifter, and there are few more screws at the bottom for the center console.

The seats are VERY easy - 4 bolts each and thats it.

oh, i think the 02 and newer has the seat belt sensor thing. Not sure if they have side airbags. Just watchout for those wires and don't yank the seat out without disconnecting them first.

Thanks for the input. I saw that there are some wires under there so I will ahve to be a little careful with those.

The center console isn't attached to any of those dash pieces is it? If so, that is going to be a huge pain in the ****. Does the arm rest/shift boot cover come off easily?

To remove the arm rest, open the box and remove the two screws inside. Then everything is snapped into place with little tabs. Very easy to remove.

Well, I will have to attack this later tonight... these things always sound easy but then you get your hands dirty something always pops up.

I'll try to update later... thanks

I was trying to remove that to reroute some wires and it didn't go well. Looked like there were rivet-like things holding it on so I didnt even try after that

I don't like the sound of rivets, which is what I was afraid of when I saw how close it was to the dash.

So, have a picture of what needs to be popped in. Doesn't look like any rivets anywhere.... looks like a total of 10 mounting points and a plug in for the cigarrette lighter?
