So according to the doctor this morning there is a good chance I have it, but he will not know for sure until my lab results come back on monday. So I figured I'd ask you guys and hoped that maybe one or two of you have had it before and can make some suggestions of what I can do in the mean time to take care of it.

Sometimes I wish I had mono so I wouldn't have to go to work. Actually I think it would be better if a missle hit it around 2am, at least then I could collect un employment. Good luck though, from what I hear you'll be sick for awhile.

. The best thing to do is take he medicine they give you and lie down. It will most likely make you feel real rundown like it made me feel. I was out of school for like 1 week then i was 13 cause of it. It is contagious from what i can remember about it in its early stages but i might be wrong about that. Good luck and get some rest.

also, if your test results come back mono positive, take it easy for a while - no hard impact sports. Your spleen can become enlarged, predisposing you to splenic injury with even relatively minor trauma. A 16 year old girl came into our hospital a week after a car accident and died due to massive bleeding into her abdomen from delayed splenic rupture.
