Me too. I am new to the bay and new Sti owner, so real newbie. I would say Martinez is more East Bay. It's by Berkeley. I live in Marin, by Sausalito and Mill Valley.

Depends. Go even further and there seemed to be a lot. I was working up in Ukiah for a few months and there were a lot there.

And I guess LIC doesn't count?

LIC counts for sure! Same with FLI ha.
I just see WAY more subie enthusiasts when I head down to the bay area.
Maybe cuz we are so spread out up here and not as condensed is why I dont see as many.
