Reflection isn't bad at all and the output is in my opinion better than stock. just my .02 cents.....

I just ordered the 55w H7 system for my 07 wrx, Is the wiring harness from lightworks really needed for the 55W kit?

The wire harness connects to the battery and has slightly thicker wire than stock. Lightwerkz on the nasioc forum says to use the harness because the stock wires will wear out from the additional power going through, although many forum people say their systems are fine.

plus the lightwerkz one is way overpriced for a bit of wire, some loom, a few connectors and a relay ($60!!!!!)

the one on the ddmtuning site is only $20

in all reality, the parts for that are <$10

oh, and your low beam bulbs are H7's, not H1.
http://www.whatbulb.com/2007-Subaru-WRX

06 and 07 use H7
<05's use the H1

so reply to the email from them and let Jim fix your order for you. He replied to me a few hours ago and they are in san diego.

So would you suggest buying the one from DDM? I already placed my order but I can make another one and hopefully they will just notice this and place the order In the same box.

Whats everyones take on this? Is the kit needed?
Ive already been running a HID kit from ebay for over a year now But It isnt a 55W system, No melted wires as of yet.

PS: yah that was a Typo I know I need H7

from what I read I think it's better for 55w's to use the harness.

It has never really bothered me when i see hid's in a halogen reflector headlight. It's not the best but it works..... And if it bothers you so much call ddm and tell them to stop sellin hid kits for halogen headlights because it blinds people.... what about lifted trucks with their beam right into your rear view mirror? just my opinion.....

I'm tempted to get the raptor kit. Got more interested after reading this thread about them. Though the Apexcone ones look good too due to their integrated ignitor. Both have lifetime warranty

Mine was supposed to ship monday (which Jim, the owner added to my invoice) and it didn't ship till today.

Plus, I'm a little annoyed since I sent them 3 emails now with no reply. Last saturday when I placed my order, I sent a 2nd payment for the wire harness. Since they didn't reply to my emails, the wire harness isn't on the invoice and most likely is NOT in the box they shipped...

Since they didn't ship the HID's on time, it won't be arriving till monday since the weekend kills two days. Had they shipped yesterday, it would arrive tomorrow since they are only in socal.
My UPS tracking doesn't say it's left the facility yet.

And I really don't want to file a paypal dispute for the money I paid for the wire harness, but if they don't reply or ship it then I'll have to
