You can say "it's just the internet" but be warned the law is starting to expand to include it.

Power delivery was smooth, but yeah, just not nearly as grunty as the STi, which is expected. The stock clutch sucks too. Way softer than the STi unit and not nearly as much feedback

Just climbed out of a stock MR IX... I was bored, so took it out for a quick run in the local canyon (I also sell STI's).
I was not unimpressed and I swear, if a gun was held to my head and I finally had to choose between the two ~ I think I would point to the EVO right before wetting my pants. (Hate guns....)!

I really liked the handling, steering rack/feel, and seats. Just hard to compare a stock evo to my stage II sti. I know lots of guys have a simple TBE/tune, but no takers yet damn it

already have a FSB and the 05 STi is supposed to have the better steering bushings, However, the P/S assist is less on the evo and the rack itself is just quicker. I havn't decided yet, but riding in a lightly modded one will help a bunch
I read an article somewhere about whitline and they sell this kit that changes a bunch of suspension stuff for under five hundred. Long story short the guys who wrote the article are EVO handling elitist and when they were done they could not not admit that the subie was a much better handling car.
Oh yeah and the EVO is way laggy but when the turbo kicks it sure does put your head back in the seat.
