Depends on what it is.
If you lie and say you have not been convicted of a crime, and the company does run a background check on you, then you will be fired most likely.

The application I have to fill out for my new job asks "Have you been convicted of a crime(other then for posession of less then one ounce of marajuana more then 2 years ago)?".

Funny thinkg aboutthe mary jane. haha

But say you wanted a job driving any sort of vehicle, or that gives you some sort of responsibility, any sort of crime can be used against you.

I am lucky that I did all of my stupid **** when I was a minor(under 16 even) and have nothing but 2 speeding tickets. :x

I personally would get a good attourney and fight it. I would not want that **** on my record as an adult.

"big financial company" You're an investment banker/management consultant? Or is this WFG? Please don't tell me it's wfg... I spend a few hours a week lecturing old high school friends about that multilevel wannabe Wall Street crap.

eh, the way I view tickets for mods/speeding/reckless driving... you pay to play, right? Personally I haven't gotten any tickets, but if I did, well that's my punishment for putting in like 5000 dollars of less than legal engine mods; gotta be prepared to accept consequences.
