Clemson University Alum and fan...and you're right, folks don't follow college sports much here

For comparison, Clemson has 13K undergrads (about 18K total...yep, lot smaller school than SJSU or UCD)....average football Saturday attendance is just under 80K! And within a 300 mile radius of there you have another 7 programs (Alabama, Auburn, UGA, FSU, Tenn, VT, USC...Chickens edition) that draw similar or better.

Cal vs Stanford not selling out this year...um, wow (and not in a good way!)

 

I have been a big USC Trojans fan since I was really young.

HAWAII WARRIORS 12-0 , even though we got smashed in the Sugar Bowl, its was an amazing season for Hawaii. Especially because we don't have any pro ball sports from our state.

 

That and you pretty much play community Colleges. Washington almost beat you in the regular season. . .

I was glad to see that Hawaii did go undefeated. That's an awesome feeling for any team.

 

I've been a UNC basketball fan since they played in the national championship against Michigan (No timeout debacle by Chris Webber). Even when they only won 9 games.
