Aww man im posted up in Santa Clara around that area so this thread scares me!! but anyway my friend got the same citation and hes in the process of fighting it in court, for the same ammount too. his court date is next week I can pm ya on the outcome.
PS. Maybe get an i-club sticker on your ride cause when i got stopped by scpd on el camino near mervyns, he stopped me for being lowered and he said "oh your with i-club huh? well we know that you guys are against street racing and we thank you guys for that so I dont feel like writing you up for something minor as this"

yes they read the forums, thats how they bust street racers they know exactly where they meet up and where the racing is done from idiots that post on forums with video evidence and all.

if your CAI is certified (better have proof) you can fight that but as far as having the axle back NO...
its modified exhaust if you read the vehicle code it was written for the cops benefit, any modification to the vehicle exhaust is illegal under that certain vehicle code.

hmm ok then... im getting my carb sticker in this saturday or monday.. and the axle back i have no clue on what to do...

see the problem is when your in front of the judge , they don't want to hear any excuses or begging for the ticket to be dropped.
alot of times they already have their mind made up of what your punishment is going to be.
the only thing that might happen for your case is a reduced fine.
you have modified exhaust no doubt and as far as the CAI they dont really increase emmissions so its not a big deal, just show the sticker get your reduced fine and then switch back to stock muffler or get a axle back or cat back that doesn't attract attention to your car.
