Another round of survey, questions on detail products...
First of all, thank you all for participating in the previous survey. It was very informative and useful for me. I know auto detailing isn't cheap and with the current state of the economy doesn't help either. So here I wish you all make lots and lots of money so you can go buy your Porsches and Ferraris and let detail them.
Now I would like to know a little more on the demand of the detail products. As some of you know, I currently carry Adam's Polishes detail products. I know there are many other preferred brands, but it's a start (for me). I would like to know couple of things...
- Do you prefer to shop online or in-store?
- Have you ever used Adam's products or have seen it in action?
- What other products do you use?
- Any other detail products you are interested in (towels, brushes, etc)?
- Those that use or purchased the products from me, what do you think?
- Anything else I can do to help better inform the bay area folks (add video and/or article instructions on detailing and/or how to use the products for example. Work in progress BTW.
)?
- Any particular line of products you are interested in (polish, machine wax, hand wax, car wash solutions, etc.)?
Once again, I am posting here because I am targeting the bay area folks. Hope you mods are okay with it.

A self claybaring claybar and a self waxing wax
Got any of those Leo? *sigh*
I'm interested in soaps, claybars, soaps, waxes, polishes, and the proper equipment needed to use them.
Maybe online purchase with the option to pickup?

self claybaring clarbar? hmmm... They are available, just one time use drop off the car, pay me, and I'll show you how it works.
So are you interested in using machine or by hand? PC is the way to go if you want to do it using a machine. Actually with the current promotion, you do purchase it online and you can either come to me and pick them up or meet me at UCKK or Wing Stop to pick them up and I have all the products you listed, minus the equipment.

I would like to know couple of things...
- Do you prefer to shop online or in-store? In store, I like the ability to see and handle what I'm going to buy before I spend the money...and I also like to have it in my possession immediately, I hate waiting.
- Have you ever used Adam's products or have seen it in action? No
- What other products do you use? P21S, Zaino, Meguiar's.
- Any other detail products you are interested in (towels, brushes, etc)? Speciality brushes for wheels, ie: long bristle boar hair brush, and devices to get the wheelwell without removing the wheel.
- Those that use or purchased the products from me, what do you think? N/A, but I have a black car that I need to get the swirl marks out of so I'll be in contact soon.
- Anything else I can do to help better inform the bay area folks (add video and/or article instructions on detailing and/or how to use the products for example. Work in progress BTW.
)? Thats always welcomed, there are multiple ways to skin a cat and it can be very confusing for people new to proper detailing. So confusing it may keep people from even attempting to do it at all.
- Any particular line of products you are interested in (polish, machine wax, hand wax, car wash solutions, etc.)? Zaino, that rinseless car wash for those of us not fortunate enough to have a driveway and for the baller types, Swissvax.

yeah you should totally have a DIY section of your website. It won't hurt your business since the target market for your details and selling detailing equipment is different (those of us who come to you to get a detail are too lazy to do it ourselves lol)
Having a bunch of DIY videos showcasing your product line will definitely encourage people to buy the products.

- Do you prefer to shop online or in-store?
on-line as i dont want to only have the option of driving to the bay area or to meets
- Have you ever used Adam's products or have seen it in action?
never used or seen used
- What other products do you use?
currently been using mother's gold class products as well as trying meguiars nxt paste wax. both seem to have short life times
- Any other detail products you are interested in (towels, brushes, etc)?
if i'm ordering wax, a good selection of towels i would also throw in the basket.
- Anything else I can do to help better inform the bay area folks (add video and/or article instructions on detailing and/or how to use the products for example. Work in progress BTW. )?
a small car care guide would be nice to go along with the products, so we know which would best be suited to our car's paint condition.
- Any particular line of products you are interested in (polish, machine wax, hand wax, car wash solutions, etc.)?
will be open to a new soap.
i'll start searching for a wax that lasts for more than a few washes! and a good cleaner wax to get the central valley bugs off with. and i'd be interested in going to try machine if i could watch a demonstration in person by you.
currently using mothers gold soap and wax, with a wash once a week and 4K miles a month, garaged, i still run out of wax in about 1.5 months. started the car off with 4 coats in the first month when i got her.

thank you all for the super detail replies, you guys ROCK!
I have all 'type' of products you guys are interested in, but not in the brand you prefer. I do plan in increasing the coverage through time. I do carry towels, applicators, etc. But seems like there are few interest in brushes as well.
I will continue to work on my documentations and will post them soon. I've been extremely busy with detailing, but once I get my RS back, I'll use that as a demo car and do some instructional videos for you folks.
Now, on top of that, would you folks be interested in a detail day? The format would start off with intro of the shop that lets us use their facility, then I'll demonstrate all the products I carry. You'll get the see the effects/results of the products as we as how to use them and similar products as well. Then folks can work on their on cars on site with their own detail solutions or purchase some from me. Then I'll go around and help/teach individual owners/cars. Does that sound like something you guys might be interested in? LMK!

good.
yeah, I agree, a month is minimum to get a good size group going. Unfortunately I don't think we can do Sunday unless I can find a different location...
