maybe its just me but i expect more hp from a STi on a dyno, especially considering its rated at 300 to the crank.

i dyno'd my integra (non-vtec) at 200hp to the wheels with a t3/t4 turbo @ 7psi untuned with a n/a motor that dyno'd stock at around 145 to the wheels. high 13s easily with no traction whatsoever in 1st gear.

too bad honda doesnt make factory turbocharged cars...

otherwise, great numbers for your setup!! do you plan on upgrading it more?

maybe because some of us dont understand the reasoning behind AWD power-loss vs FWD/RWD power-loss or otherwise known as drivetrain loss

Yeah, i think mike/preston said there is typically a 25% power loss from the crank to the wheels with our subys

FWD/RWD typically see 10-13% losses

As for my plans, no more power mods for awhile. Gonna concentrate on suspension/brakes/wheels to get it ready for the track

Maybe in a year or so when I start getting half-yearly bonuses I'll go with deadbolt 20g/FMIC/850ccinjectors/FP/headers/alky injection

At first I was scared, I thought something was wrong with my car. Well apparently it was quite the opposite, since I have a stromung exhaust (same as the cobb), it pulled hard with nice AF ratios throughout the RPM range. Thus is actually performed as it should, since my car is likely similar to the one cobb used to tune the maps.

It put out 266whp and 275wtq on the cobb map. He then advised me to save my money since there isn't much room left for improvement with the pro-tune. This is an 05 STi with K&N panel filter and a 3" stromung turboback.

So i was a bit disappointed I didn't come away with a pro-tuned beast, but quite happy with the numbers, he said it was one of the best baseline runs he's seen

+1 again

good to know kyle. im running all stromung exhaust parts as well, maybe i can get away with the base map too!

hey lurk,
quit pullin **** out of your ***. last time i checked, i was talkin about my LS turbo @ 7psi pullin 200+ hp UNTUNED. not at 8-10psi. thats a big difference in hp with an extra 3psi. know your **** before you make stupid comments. besides, dyno runs from your butt dyno doesnt count. damn riceboys lol funny thing... not many people on the street thought my LS turbo was sorry when i was out at the runs smokin their ***. especially gsr turbos....
Ahhhh i rermember my honda days,...low low 12's all motor back in 1997-1998

Alota power no traction

265 whp for a exhuast and a flash is a good gain...about 50 whp...nothing to sneeze @ thats for sure.

Once you further upgrade(if you ever do)....you can always retune...or just come back later for a 100 octane tune....which has put some cars in the mid 12's with just TWO mods.

Chill gangsta. LOL. Hey "dlplayboy" that was your old SN on H-T right? Anyways, I remember your old white turbo LS. It was slow, don't be mad big guy, you can show my M5 how fast your WRX is now. See you on the freeway sometime. Oh BTW, my car was a turbo'd ITR not a GSR. TIA

Those are great numbers. I drove up this past Friday from South Orange County to have Mike tune my car. My baseline peak numbers were 229whp/214wtq from the Cobb map. Not really a heartbreaker as I had my car dyno'd a couple weeks ago on a MAHA with lower numbers. Anyway, after Mike protuned it, peaks were 250whp/229wtq. However, most impressive are the torque gains that added to driveability. This is on a VF39 WRX. I'll post graphs once Mike sends them my way.

Yeah, shut up you ****... You used to say the same for I-speed.

Not to say that Mikey is anything close to I-speed... cuz he isn't... and actually knows what he's doing, I just took this oppertunity to take a cheap shot at Zoeb.
