Can't wait for the footage of people shooting them out of the air and hawks attacking them

Not very often if you want to continue to own firearms

NETS

I can see this working at their facilities, from building to building and/or inside their own facilities, but direct to the customer seems really unlikely.

Shock advertising for shock advertising sake. Unless they make a quantum leap with propeller drove technology...this would be extremely inefficient and limited to a few pounds and miles of range (

Why did my reply got cut off? Is this masterpiece of a website still having issues recognizing certain characters?

I could not quickly find top ground speed rankings for industrial quad-copters...but I highly doubt it is delivery truck speeds. Even if they were, that would only mean less than 20 mile proximity to fulfillment center for a 30 minute guarantee (considering preparation, take off and landing times). Any slower and the center has to be across the forking street at which point I will just walk to pick it up.

I think it would work on the west side of LA like santa monica, the traffic is really bad there.

Self driving electric/hybrid truck drives into a neighborhood then launches drones to do the final delivery ala aircraft carrier. Eliminates range issue. Still have airspace issue. I live by the airport, so highly doubt these will be flying around me.

Skynet becomes self aware.

That's some creative thinking!

And whoever patents ground/low-altitude radar to track and air traffic said drones will be the next Bill Gates.

Next up issue on the list will be security and theft...autonomous unattended cars and drones? Like UPS needs any more help stealing packages and/or delivering them to a wrong address.

Le sigh...gotta love solutions to First World Problems that never existed in the first place
