Is it always this tough to get an appointment at Carlsen?
Is it always this tough to get an appointment at Carlsen?
So I call up Carlsen to schedule an appointment for my cruise control recall... and they tell me that the earliest I can come in is May 6!
What's the deal? Is it normal to have to wait for 2+ weeks for something that's supposed to take 15 minutes of work? This is the first time I've tried scheduling an appointment there... Has anyone else gotten their cruise control cable fixed there?

I just made an appointment there for May 10th. The woman I talked to said I could bring it in earlier and leave it all day and they would fix it or make an appointment and wait while they fixed it. I would rather wait than let them have the car all day.
Beat you guys! My appointment is on May 5th! I'm not letting them have my car all day, screw that... The lady on the phone said it would take an hour too, but the letter said 15 min.. Pssh...
I just scheduled at Carlsen this afternoon. Im booked for May 7th.
Even though I am a lot closer to Stevens Creek... I rather drive the extra miles to Redwood City than to risk anything from Stevens Creek Subaru

Just curious : anyone know if we can just go into the dealer and get the part to self-install?
Quite honestly, I personally am a better mechanic than some of the folks I've seen working at the dealer as "mechanics"
. I'm quite sure I could handle installing a single clip on the throttle cable
