That dude in the civic must have either A) been a really bad driver or B) had some worn out tires on the back.
i'm guessing it was option 'A.' lets face it, controlling rear wheels slides in a FWD car is really quite simple. FWD was created for people that couldn't control RWD cars effectively (my seriously biased opinion).

You know, after re-reading the original post, I don't think it was either option. The dude had blinger rims up front with stockers in back. He was just a dip ****.

SWEET! is that the newest issue? I want some of those stickers!!!

Yea that's what i'm using. But I don't think I'll ever get the viper one on my car.

BTW which ones are in the Maxim? M/T has vipers, beattles, and civic hatches.

It's pretty sweet.

Nice job on the avoidance routine!
I've had to do that many times on 17, but so far the cars haven't been coming apart in front of me.
Only behind

What's even worse are the pick up trucks and SUV's that drive that road like they're in a car. I've seen at least half a dozen wrecks involving those vehicles on 17. Usually they wind up flipping.
Every modern car could be driven by a decent driver at 70mph through almost all of Highway 17(60 on the 2 moody turns if a Hyundai or similar) in ideal conditions.
The mistake most people make is correcting or adjusting their turns midway through.
Hell most people never even visualize a line to track.
The flip overs are almost all caused by the same pair of mistakes: Turning away from the wall and braking hard or locking up at impact.
Welcome to upside down land.

I've lost track of the number of idiots (mostly in civics and integras) that have lost over 17, trying to keep up with me (in an OB< no less) when I wasn't even pushing it; I've watched no less than 6 cars lose it into the outside barrier after hitting the left-hander with the whoops coming down from the summit eastbound....

My freshman year, I was heading over the hill, going home for christmas, when it started pouring, then stopped abruptly. I'm movin' along, get to he 40mph crners, and watch, as I dive into one of the downhill right handers, as a civic in the fast lane slides into the barrier, swings the other way into a bronco II, then bounces back towards the fast lane, still apparently accelerating, into an Eclipse....so the eclipse grinds up against the left barrier, and the civic starts coasting down, right back towards the bronco, who's up against the other barrier.....
I'm on my brakes from the word go, get down to about 20, then look in my rearview to see a semi locked up and sliding towards me, so I goose it, pray the opening's big enough and slide through between the eclipse and the still-moving civic, and watch in my mirrors as the semi crashes into all 3 cars, and 3 more cars pile into him.......

called the cops, after staring in utter disbelief, then had to explain to the cop that showed up what happened, and how I managed to be behind the first 3 cars but in front of the other 4, without a scratch

I'd think people would figure out where and where not to push on that road.....
but that requires way more faith in human nature than I'm personally capable of......

that's also giving them way too much credit intellectually. skilled driving is a lost art here.
