this is where you went wrong since everyone takes things personal on the interweb.

I've been to AutoHQ, and Bryan is a cool cat. When it comes to customer service, I'm sure we've experienced bad and good ones. There was a time I did think to myself "I can deliver better customer service than I have gotten" and that's just plain fact. So whether it's constructive towards Bryan or not is up to everyone else.

I know I perform better when it comes to customer service (anyone can tell this if you have many friends and many friends say you are great with working with others), but whatever gets the job done.

AutoHQ speaks for itself mechanically, sales and service could go up in strength depending on who is put in. That's plain truth. It can also go down, (IE Obama) in change too.

Not to mention, it's definitely ME that doesn't/wont see it YOUR way, right? Impossible for it to be visa versa.

I see what you're saying, and have pointed out why it is incorrect.

I commend you for defending your friend, but sometimes you really have to take a step back and realize that you're the only one fighting.
See? That's your problem, you have no sense of boundaries. I already said leave it be, and yet you keep it going. It's that same lack of common sense (or is it lack of common courtesy?) that you displayed when what you told Ballz could be interpreted as an affront. You got personal with him, and now you're getting personal with me as well. I never made any personal attacks towards you, yet within 2 posts you've basically called me an uneducated, ignorant, wishful pansy, with plenty of unwarranted sarcasm to boot. What have I done to you to deserve that? Have I not been civil towards you this whole time? What class is there in resorting to that?

And yes, I do see the point that you're making, but I don't see the utility of it. I used to be like you, speaking my mind freely and off the cuff, thinking that I was doing others a favor, and yet I did nothing but antagonize other people. Why make more enemies when you can have more friends? Why tell a person that his girlfriend looks too scantily clad, or that his new bodykit looks ricey, or that his new glasses look dorky, or any other sort of hypothetical "constructive criticisms" of the sort? Why shouldn't I coddle my friends? If I don't treat my friends well, then who needs me as a friend? If anyone wants an opinion, they'll ask for it.

What you're doing to me now is what Rescuer did to me in your thread about what to do when that Prius hit you. I expressed my opinion about what I thought the best recourse was, only for Rescuer to get bent out of shape and attack me because I had conviction in my suggestion and offered a reason as to why I thought my recommendation better. Here, I merely pointed out that what you said could be misconstrued as an insult, and if you doubt that, recall that it was initially taken as one by Ballz. So what does it mean to lament that only an uneducated simpleton could mistake what you said as malicious? "Oh, it's okay, what I said is cool and if you don't think so, you're dumb." Not a very convincing line of logic, is it?

I don't know Ballz personally, just like how I don't know you personally, yet I offered advice out of i-Club comraderie -- for your old thread, I wanted to see that your claim went well; for this thread, I just wanted to bring some civility back to i-Club like how it was back in the olden days. Call it fruity or whatever you want, but a forum where members get along is a more pleasant place to be than a forum full of patriarchal louts.

I was ready to end my discourse with you, but you had to drag me back into this "fight against myself" with your personal attacks. But from here, I will post no more, just like how I decided to post no more in your old insurance claim thread.

To Ballz and all other i-Clubbers, my sincerest apologies for derailing this thread. All I want is a more pleasant online place for all Subaru owners.

Mods, please do not lock this thread due to my posts, it would be unfair to Ballz since the information contained herein is important. I promise that I won't post anything else. Thank you.

I really can't stand that line. You do know that even with that line you yourself are "keeping it going," right? How did I get personal with Bryan? I offered constructive criticism in regards to his work in the customer service industry. That is it!

I fear you do not understand the full meaning of the term coddle. Coddling means to overprotect (treat in an indulgent or overprotective way). Sheltering people from flaws prevents personal growth. I believe in a community that helps its members grow. I know we were all raised with the "everyone is a winner" attitude, but that doesn't actually work in real life. Employers are seeing a tremendous negative effect on the workforce because everyone thinks they are friggin' awesome and can't face the fact that something they do/have done is subpar. I don't see any reason to continue in that direction.

I never got hit by a Prius, but I think you're thinking of when a tourist (forget what kind of car) backed into me while my car was parked, correct? I don't remember what Rescuer said to you, all I remember is a slight miscommunication of details that eventually got straightened out.

I've only met Ballz once, years ago. I had a neutral impression of him as a person then, and retain that to this day. My comment, as I've said many times, was not towards him as a person, but his professional career. However, his response back to me WAS a personal attack.

Judging from your actions here on I-Club.... And stories from other BAIC members. I could say the same about you. Not dealing with customer service, just as a person.
That is what I responded to. I did not see your comments as an attempt at civility, but as an attempt to prove my message as malice or prove constructive criticism not beneficial, as well as a joined with Bryan's personal attack on me. If your goal was civility, then that is fine. Civility does not mean you have to ignore flaws and only look only at the positive attributes of a person or situation. Civility and constructive criticism go quite well together actually.

There are two extremes. The extreme of looking at only the good, and the extreme of looking at only the bad. Neither of which is beneficial to growth. Bryan exhibited traits I felt were poor for the customer service industry and I made that known, Paul (who I rarely agree with) has exhibited traits I've felt are beneficial to customer service and running a business. Just because you only see me identify on aspect here today, doesn't mean I don't identify the positives too. By the way, my analysis of customer service comes from working in the field since junior year of high school and being quite successful helping run a business.

Lastly, don't say that I "dragged you back." Your actions are your responsibility, don't give me that much power over you.

No ****. This is why I keep low post counts on internet forums. Seems like 95% of all forum threads, across any type of forum, turn into arguments over the smallest things.

It looks as if he has been here yet again.............

Back to the OP's topic; good luck with your future endeavors with your family.

Good luck, you and AutoHQ have always delivered.

Property management can be good money. We own some rental properties out of state and pay 5 to 10% of the rent as a fee and for most of the time all they do is collect rent and deposit into our account. Pretty sweet if you ask me.

Not to add to the BS here but Bryan just posted to let people know he is going to change jobs and asked not to be reached on his mobile for AHQ-related issues. He didn't ask people to rate his work or give feedback in regards to his tenure at AHQ.

IMHO, Bryan is a good guy and he's helped me out a few times. Sorry to see you go but family should come first. Take care buddy.

Hey Bryan, best wishes to your old/new job!

I know I've only been there twice, but I was very pleased with Jerry answering all my n00b questions, and the advice I got from you to keep the '08.
