Albany Subaru lied about my repainting my front bumper!
When I picked up my '02 WRX last June from Albany Subaru, I couldn't help but notice the excessive "orange peel" (looked like overspray on overspray) on the front bumper.
I figured I would bring it back to Albany at some point, but never did.
I noticed a couple weeks ago that the paint below the foglights appeared to be decaying rapidly, in addition to coarse texture on the lower sides of the bumper.
I called Munzer (Sales Mgr.) at Albany, and brought the car in.
He noticed the problem, but claimed to have no records of repainting my bumper prior to sale, and brought the matter to the attention of SOA.
The local SOA rep, Mike Pelkey, looked at my car yesterday, and came to the same conclusion as I, that this did not happen at the factory, and that the dealership must have done it somehow. Mike instructed the Service Manager Tom to correct the issue to my satisfaction, and told me he would keep in touch with me regarding the issue.
Now waiting to hear back from Munzer & Albany Subaru, so they can take care of this matter finally!
I thought leasing my car at invoice price was worth buying from Albany at the time.

I think you can sue them for a contract violation because of that. There might also be a law against lying about what was done to the car. They are supposed to disclose those things, and if they don't, you should be able to void your lease. That might mean getting _all_ of your money back.

RESOLVED
I could have paid my Atty, voided the warranty, etc. It would have been a big hassle though.....So I chose to do things the easy way, and Albany will install a brand new, painted front bumper on my car.
This is nice, because my current front bumper is a bit scraped, and I didn't trust them to do the bodywork on it.
