Talking ahhh...

I have come to the conclusion that very few things are worth stressing over. I have decided not to be bothered by things that used to bother me. I have decided I won't let the little things annoy me anymore.

The only things that are important to me are my family and friends.

So please, breath with me now...

In through the nose with the good air...

Out through the mouth with the bad air...

Think of your happy place.

I heart you guys. I need to go hug a tree or stare at a sunset or something.

Probably all the whining here. Good **** man, I don't let little things bother me either, that's how you get high blood pressure and have a heart attack at like 30. "Don't sweat the small stuff, because it's all small stuff."

Cheers&ENJOY

I don't know. I have been really stressed out and tired, lately. I drive 200 miles a day and sit on BART for another hour and a half. I'm getting screwed at work. Money is really tight.

But when I get home at 8:00pm after sitting on BART with a bunch of crazies for 45 minutes, and driving 100 miles, I see my wife and baby girl and none of that matters.

Today started off really bad. I almost died this morning when I fell asleep behind the wheel. I got into work and have a ton of stuff to do, people are yelling.

I just sat down and decided that it's not worth it to kill myself worrying over these things. Stress is making it hard to sleep and I am grinding my teeth when I do sleep.

I hate my job, but it's stable. I have my resume out there and it's only a matter of time. I know I will find something good.

I just decided that I won't worry, and I suddenly felt a LOT better. I feel lighter. Less burdened.

Just thought I would share and, hopefully, spread a little calm over my i-club brothers and sisters. Share the wealth.

On another note, I have a ton of gmail accounts if anyone needs them.

good advice... i've been in a bad mood at work lately, but my wife keeps me in check... as she says

"you're not saving lives, you're just killing trees"

I'm just an office slave like most everyone else. I'm not a firefighter, police officer, or doctor. In the end, the crap that bugs you at work really isn't that important.

Very much agreed. Isn't family grand? I love little kids. They make all the stress in life seem like nothing. Nothing better than getting a smile or hug out of your child(ren).

I would love to take you up on the offer, but I live in Elk Grove and weekends are spent sleeping and with the wife and baby (since I barley see them during the week).

Snowboarding may be hard until I can get the baby on a board then I am down! Maybe I can drag my bike down here once you get your street beater together and we can thrash around the city. Where do you work? I am next to the transamerica building.

Good luck on the search and getting back to SC!

I am SOMA. New montgomery between mission and fulsom

SBC.

Shoot..I snowboard like 90% of the time at bear valley. My little brother and sister lived with their mom and graduated from Galt High. So Elk Grove is no issue. Should tag along on a trip this year. Pick you up on the way through.

I feel you on the stress lately....over the summer there have been a lot of customers that act like jerks at my work. They have been seriously bad, worse than normal - like threatening us with violence! At this point we are all pissed off and stressed, but I'm taking time out to go driving and crank up the radio, inevitably letting at least a little bit of that BS go from my system. Don't let em keep you down!!

Talking

The best is watching them get all pissed off because I am not all flustered or stressed when they are flying off the handle. I guess they are just looking to get someone as upset as they are.

It actually has a calming affect on some people. Others... well, others will have heart attacks soon.

Wierd, though. It seems like people everywhere are a lot more angry and jerky this summer. It's not just at your work if that makes you feel any better.

I feel you man. I was once an overworked stressed out ****. now that I have a family and realize that material things aren't important, I can let things go.

you need to get a job closer to home, that commute is not worth it. the money that is wasted on bart and gas, you could get a less paying job and spend more time with the family.
