Aftermarket lugs on OEM wheels

I've got a set of Rotas installed and I've been using keyed, aftermarket lugs. I'm in the process of throwing on my OEM wheels and was wondering if it was OK to use the aftermarket lugs.

They seem to fit.

If you can find your stock lugs, use them.

If not, the aftermarket lugs will be okay, but don't push your car at all, and switch them with OEM lugs as soon as you can.

huh?

What do you mean?

Don't push them?

I have been getting a vibration when I stop hard from 75mph. I'm putting my OEM wheels tires on to see if the vibration goes away (ie. my other set of tires are bad).

Will this be a problem?

They seem to fit.

If you really want to use your aftermarket lugs on stock wheels, don't take corners hard, or anything that'll put stresses on your lugnuts.

But, if you are just going to try putting them on and testing the vibration, I'd say you should be fine.

But, if you are feeling vibration under braking (and only under braking), then I'd really assume its your brake rotors that need to be resurfaced.

According to people on the boards, the OEM lugs are ball seat. Though, according to everyone at America's Tire Co, they're cone seat. IMHO they look cone seat to me. I've used aftermarket lugs on my stock wheels since I've had my car (I have aftermarket because i have SSR comps). I have auto-x on my stock wheels, and have never worried about anything.

1) don't trust anything anyone at an Americas Tire Co. says

2) don't resurface brake rotors, they are cheap enough to replace when needed

To me the stock lugs look cone seat too, but the angle looks flatter then aftermarket lugs. The chamfer, at least without measuring it properly, looks to be different between stock lugs and aftermarket ones.
