Wow, if that's true, it seems really inaccurate. 1) It requires a good estimation of distance on the fly, which is complete BS. 2) They have to have perfect reaction times to hit the button as you pass a land mark, in which they're moving towards and see you from an angle. 3) Since it uses two points of reference to determine speed, I thought this type of clocking was illegal in the state of California? 4) It uses the odometer as well? Now, even though the court doesn't care, the officer better bring proof of correct speedometer and odometer, since it's using distance traveled by a patrol car.

be a man, go to court and say you were going 85, not 93. It'll greatly reduce your fine since it'll be down to below 20 over.

Seriously though, why did you slow down to still 10 over?

so how would that work? the citing officer put down 80mph after he "claimed" the OP was doing 93. OP states that he never went past 85. So your suggesting that he goes to court, tells the judge that he wasn't doing 93 at any given point when the judge doesnt' even know where the hell the 93 mph came from?

or should he plead not guilty to the 80 mph writing on his citation, which is only what the judge will see prior to the court hearing, and plead "you honor, i was not guilty of doing 80, but rather i was doing 93 and the officer was being nice to me and put down 93"

Like i've stated in my earlier in my post, a lot of cops give the BS of you were doing so and so speed, but i'll play NICE and write u down for 85, or 75, when i really caught u doing *insert whatever mph speed you want* in here. i think that's complete bull****.

Even if you were to lose the case, u might even get to find out how he caught you speeding, which isn't a bad thing either. READ UP ON TICKETASSASSIN.COM

I didn't see the part where the citing officer put down 80.

Damn kid, you're lucky it was for 80 and he didn't see you going 85. What are you asking for here? You were going over 80, got a ticket when you slowed down to 80. You got less than you deserved. Pay it.
