I just went from 5w30 to 5w40 lol. No problems yet. Then again its t6. People using it in vermont.

Ah you and me both. On my built engine I went from 15w-50 to 5w-40. It doesnt seem to get as cold in the winter time along the coast as it does inland for some reason even though its the other way around during the hot months. Lowest we have seen in the past few days was 38 very early morning before sun up.

Tap water, do not warm it up (can crack the glass) dump it on slowly from the top, as your wipers run, no more ice.

AS your wipers run. NOT pour on windshield, run inside car (yes, eating **** on ice on the way) and turning on wipers.....MOAR ice! LOL learnin the hard way...yep thats me!

Working on a house in San Carlos this morning and wanted to take some alkaseltzer. Plop plop freeze freeze. Before I could drink it the whole thing froze! Not sure if the sodium bicarbonate made it freeze faster or what but it was a slushy!
