94 impreza wagon lurches when making tight u-turns

Try an alignment. I unbolted the lower control arm on my old school Celica once and didn't quite get it back together right. It would make crazy noises from that corner when I'd compress the suspension while turning.

Possibly, if the alignment is off enough, it can cause the wheels to be taking significantly longer/shorter paths in a turn, and your open diffs force one or the other to hop to correct it.
