I still don't want one. That thing is a pig at 4000 lbs and just plain huge! Based on a few discussions with various engineers at shops that have seen these things, yeah, they are fast but, only for a lap or two. Then the tires and brakes start heating up and it all goes to crap.

how much are these things going for? cause ****.....and STi puts roughly 270ish.....with a turbo back tune...wow!!

That thing doesn't sound anywhere near as mean as a Z06. 4000lbs is about the same weight as the older Lexus LS400. Sports car my ***. You can add more power, get bigger brakes, but you can't hide weight. The Corvette weighs nearly 800lbs less. I'd take a Corvette or Viper over the GT-R any day of the week.

And yet it laps faster than a 911 turbo or a Z06. So you might not like how it looks, how it sounds, or even how it feels, but in terms of outright performance it seems like it's right up there.

seems to me people concerned with the weight and thinking its a Z with a turbo are horribly mistaken. Maybe you should watch topgear and check the ring lap times.

If you think 4,000 lbs and being a nissan sucks..........so be it.....................

but i betcha don't think taking a **** on an f430 sucks.

 

^^^I didn't mean that way. I have 350z. And I like nissan. Z with turbo kick @$$. GTR is one of the best car out there.
