Even at 3K lb it is still fun in the Subie
(I usually run it in my 140hp 1900 lb. Scirocco with a bunch of A1 VW guys)
The bicyclists usually don't go down the backside of Mt Hamilton. In fact very few people venture down the backside so it is usually fairly open.
Front (SJ side) of Mt Hamilton, forget about it, too many idiots and bicyclists to contend with.
After being pulled over last time by the Sheriff (got a ticket for no front plate) I found out that the road has a standing speed limit of 50mph unless otherwise marked.
Either way, I am going this way.
We can set up a meeting time and place about a week before the GTG.

Yeah, I know it is on a sunday. But I really do not feel like making the drive all the way from San Jose to Santa Barbara. Plus, there will be lots of homework as ECE classes suck.

Hey for everyone meeting @ D&B what time do you guys plan on leaving D&B?....maybe our caravan from concord can plan on leaving about 45-60 minutes before you guys plan on leaving so our caravans would join each other in the milpitas area....let me know asap so that I can plan on us leaving earlier or later in order to meet @ the same time..

That would be really cool if you guys met up with us around 10:45-11 at D&B's (its not far off the freeway)

cool if we leave concord @ 10:15 we should be abel to meet you guys on the freeway at around 11:00 or 11:15 i'll try to get a cell phone # of one of the people @ the D & B meet so I can call them when our caravan is getting close to the milpitas area
