350Z: Where to take it for some go fast goodies?

One of my vendors at work is looking for a place to take his Z. I've sold him on a turbo upgrade as opposed to a blower. He went to a little known shop in Santa Rosa. Even if I didn't like him, I wouldn't refer him there.
I'm looking for some bay area/socal Z car shops that can provide suggestions, perform the work, tune, and take care of this guy. He's a really cool dude, who I'd hate to see get bent over.
Thanks

Send him over to us. Kevin loves the 350Z and will talk with your friend to develop a good plan to reach his goals.

Thanks,

Brandon

Is the 350z fast with bolt on mods??

I drove an Infinity G35 and wasnt too impressed on the power - and I hear its pretty much the same thing as the 350z, just more luxurious.

How much WHP do they make?

I have no idea, frankly the only interest I have in it, is making sure he's taken care of.

No they are not, not at all.

Does anyone remember my "Should I buy this 350Z or WRX" thread lol...

I dunno M-works Z went 1:42 this weekend @ Redline. That's pretty freaking fast.

No I was just saying the ROI on adding bolt ons is ridiculously low compared to even an RSX, much less a Subie.

That is the only reason I bought the subie over a Z. Still a fun car to drive though, no doubt they are fast.

found this

Even the loaded Track model only tops out at $34,000 and comes with such goodies as Brembo brakes, a viscous limited-slip differential, front and rear spoilers, 18-inch aluminum wheels, stability control, Xenon headlamps and exceptional racing seats. Not to mention a flexible and potent 287-hp V-6 engine and an excellent six-speed manual gearbox.
thats prolly at the crank tho

The 07 models make significantly more power. As far as bolt ons, I hear they don't make much more power over stock. Forced induction seems to be the best way to get a big bump in power. That's pretty much the norm for Japanese naturally aspirated sports cars.

the 07's make 306hp at the crank with the VQ35HR motor ( dual intake plenums, as opposed to single driver's side )

The 350Z is a great performance car. Short of the S2K, it's one of the best factory performers and all-around good cars, especially for the price tag. With a great driver behind the wheel, the 350Z is a very competitive car compared with others in the price range.

G35 does not handle as good as 350Z no matter what you do to it. Kevin drove a G35 for three years and always rented a 350Z whenever he wanted to have more fun. I think it has something to do with wheelbase, but your friend can come by to talk to Kevin about it. Let them think about a plan for your friend's Z given his performance goals, and if he likes the plan then great, and we'll build him an awesome Z. No matter what, we will take good care of your friend.

I think G35 should be clarified between coupe and sedan. Big difference especially in the early models.

Also, with all due respect, Z Car Garage in San Jose is pretty much the recognized leader when it comes to the Z in the bay area.
