You sure about the 2.3L? That's the motor that's in the Maz3 (in "i" trim, not "s"). While I know they share some parts, I didn't think they shared motors.

It's cool. I can promise you I am a bigger fan of the SVT Focus (well and focus and probably any ford) than just about anyone else on the BAIC. That's why I know so much about them. But you have to admit a car's weekness, and this car's weekness is HP numbers. He shouldn't be claiming that he can beat anyone in a drag race, instead he should focus (hehehe I said focus in a different way) on what his car can do amazingly well, handling. Minor suspension upgrades, like what the RS comes with stock, and those cars are insane on the twisties. Look up the laptime figues Top Gear got. The RS spanked the WRX and R32, and beat the STi and EVO as well.

They just started that this year. They still use the 110hp motor and the 130hp Zetec with the 2.3L Mazda motor as an option. The main reason they adopted that motor was to achieve "partial zero emissions" certification which the mazda motor has but they were having difficulty getting the Zetecs to do.

They do now. Like I said, it is now the optional motor. No More SVT.

Unfortunatly that is currently the case. That new Mazda 3 is a freaking steal! Talk about making leaps and bounds in just a few years. Remember the old 626? What a pile of poop.
