justin can hook you up on the synthetic fluids just let him know, capitol has been good to me giving me discounts when they can and have helped me out a couple of times when ive really needed it (had to get a tow and replacement hoses cause another local shop really effed up) so my .02 cents is capitol (no knock on lic) since its closer and you wont be disappointed in the customer service
I would take it to LIC. Just did mine there, drove past my local dealership to get there too. They quoted me 3hrs, took them 2. Recommended a great place to eat and were great to talk to. My car will for now on be touched by my limited skills, and LIC. Great guys who know their **** and love talking subaru

I can't post my opinion, because some "anonymous" co-worker will print it out, and take it to my boss to try to get me fired. If that doesn't work, he'll continue up the chain to the owner - and my boss won't back me up.
I've expressed my opinion enough, and I would suggest going with what the majority says in this thread.

LIC is the ONLY place I take my car after having bad experiences at Stevens Creek, Carlsen, Capital, and Santa Cruz.
For the most part dealerships are ONLY in it for the money, don't really care about you, go by the book, and are too lazy to think outside the box.

I would take it to LIC. I did my 30k mile with them and couldn't be happier. They go above and beyond. THey make sure you're car is running GREAT, they don't only do a 30k mile service, they really check your car out and make sure everything is fine. If you love your car, you will take it to LIC and will be very satisfied. Do you want a dealership tech who might not care about subaru's, and is only doing it for the paycheck to do the work or someone who loves the community, our cars, and are fellow enthusiasts? You know you are getting taken care of at LIC, you can even watch and relax at their cool shop.
Let me tell you my experience - I drove in between my classes from Davis to North Bay just to get my car serviced there. I had to rush back and get to class on the dot, and while I was there, I had to study for a test so I didn't get to talk w/ them. Anyways, they did everything that 30k service asks for AND one of the guys there took off some oversprayed paint that got onto my exhaust. It was really a huge spot of paint but the guy just asked if he could try taking it off and it turned out very beautifully. They also checked my brake pads and it was running low so got me a great price on a set of pads. Lastly, they diagnosed my strut clunking which was a loose camber bolt when it was up on the lift. They saved me a lot of headache and trouble. The guy who owns the shop is not trying to get every cent out of you because since I had a fumoto valve, they refund me a penny since they didn't have to replace the washer =). They just want to run a great business.

I track and autoX my car, and I wouldn't attack a course as much if i didn't have faith in LIC to keep my car track ready...
