This is america, where a citizen has the right and duty to keep our government in line and to know just what the hell our foreign policy got us into.

The only thing as dumb as thinking the government is always right is thinking that it is always wrong.

 

You know.. i've come to realize a few things from people. everyone here thinks im a brainwashed psycho and what i've seen can do that to you... Fine! BFD! and no sweat off my back i assure you.

I have seen the most Anti-war people like Chewy, that joined the army for college money, crave confirmed kills like it was sex. When the bullets, airbursts, RPG's and mortar rounds were flying through the air all they cared about was putting a 5.56mm shell through those terrorists heads...They didn't care about anthing else even afterwards, they were proud and would have done it again in a heartbeat. Everyone else here has their own level of brainwashing also.

It's not just me...everyone was brought up a different way and took a different path in life which is fine too. I was just like a lot of you guys before i went over and experienced combat. It just makes me laugh to hear a lot of people in a forum say what they say and claim it's the "american way" because really, that's all they know.

They have no idea what's like to be in the Middle east and other parts of the world (not refering to chewy on this one) first hand. to see them drinking raw sewage and bathing in it too. It's very difficult. Yet everyone still uses the "american way" as an excuse to open their mouths about this and that and to complain about this and that. They all hide behind the sense of security America provides yet never want to get their hands dirty.

It's sad.

Most people don't think the government is always wrong... as long as they keep taking the proper dosages of lithium

Most people think the government is wrong when they're party of choice isn't the one calling the shots.

Watch the BBC some times. I'm not saying its politically worth or always right... but it shows that there is a world outside of the USA with real people and real struggles that do not hold our views and you know what? its ok that they do not hold our views.

Unless Americans can accept that reality and play along like almost everyone else, this country is doomed. There is no more gold standard. And, confidence in the US is rapidly falling. That's what makde the US dollar strong, confidence in the decisions of the US government. As soon as another economy starts to gain momentum, we will be doomed and many will be surprised when the sway of American interest... and American money... makes more people laugh than succumb.

Just like North Korea, we refuse to be a part of the world. Its really not much different.

Combat changes people, that is its nature, the american way is a violent way. It allways has been and allways will be no way around that. As when you fight injustice it will almost allways lead to violence. Only problem now is that the system has become somewhat corrupt and the system itself is injust. This will only lead to continued lies, fake wars, errosion of rights, etc etc until someone has the ***** to stand up and do something about it. Which mind you is easier said then done.

It is just a shame what our beloved country has changed into, its foundation is still justice and equality. It is just that the political system that steers our great nation has its self become the image of what this country was born to fight against. With time it will be blindingly obvious to all of us that this has occured. To some it is evident now to others it isnt yet.
