Wasn't a great show, but there were a few interesting things. Yes, the lack of Audi and Porsche were pretty big.
Another shot of the Suby - the Camaro dude let me in to take pics:
This was right behind the Suby:
with a trick BMW 7 Series rear suspension swap:
This goofy looking thing:
CTS V wagon (550hp!)
My camera is dead, so only took phone cam pics and it doesn't do well in fluorescent I have a bunch but I haven't uploaded them all yet.
To be honest, I wouldn't say Hyundai is quite at the level of toppling the giants, but as mentioned, they are definitely up and coming and I have been impressed with them lately. All of the cars at the show were nice, and everyone in their area was saying the same thing. I always look at the engine bay to get a real idea of how a car is, and they look pretty solid.
I also have to say that I am not really impressed with the new WRX. WAAAAAY too much plastic in the engine bay: inlet and outlet for the TIMC? Plastic BOV? WTF? I noticed that the STI still uses a similar setup to the previous one, so why did that go that route with the WRX?

xtremeyolks STI is sick!! Went to the show Friday and absolutely fell in love with the fender flares.
I went to the SF show a few years ago and was a little dissapointed that Nissan, Audi, and Porsche didn't show this year. Oh well, test driving the Camaro SS, Regal, and Denali Hybrid was nice. Toyota's test drive was pretty sad. Took the 4Runner out and didn't get out of 1st gear I think, maybe got into 2nd. Took some pics which I'll post in a bit.
