He ran that his STOP sign and I wasn't able to stop fast enough. I think he though I had a stop sign, so he steped on it when I got close to him.
Dude had no license and no insurance! I couldn't do a police report either cause it happened inside the mall parking lot (Southland Mall).

Again, he had no insurance and no drivers license!! Has this happened to anyone?

What should I expect from my insurance company?
Also, does any one know any good suby shop?

dont bother, police reports are never accurate situations like this, especially if no witnesses stoped.so court/judge dont hold much credit on them

 

Not that I couldn't but that the police wont do one in the mall parking lot. Haward police said this. They only come in the parking lot only if someone is hurt. So the operator said to just exchange info.

 

True. A friend of mine at the gym whos a cop said that cops actually hate it when they get called to make an accident police report. They say it's useless but they do it anyway to make the people involved happy.

 

Next time say your neck hurts. He would have went to jail and been legally responsible for damages

Yea, there was nothing much to do since the dush bag didn't have license or insurance. He even tried to lie about his name. Fist he told mall security it was Silvester, then when I ask for SOME sort of ID he it ended up being Jorge.

Well if you DONT get a police report insurance wont really have any sympathy for you, and the first thing they do is ask for the number of the police report.

so even if cops say they dont like doing it, if you dont get one taken the other party can always lie later on and turn everything around against you

 

All the police report is, is my statement and the other parties statement, so really, it doesn't do anything. Mall police witness there was no one hurt.
Also, the guy did not have a license which means that technically he does not know how to drive, therefor he's at fault big time. Not have insurance is just a plus.

 

Dude has no insurance, and no job, so most likely there isn't much I can do. I guess I can pretend I'm hurt, but the guy has no job, and maybe they were here illegally cause he had no kind of legal documentation. I'm sure I can get back at him some way, but for that I'm sure I would need to go to court and who knows what else...I don't have time for all that.

My Dad got hit by some who didn't have insurance or license as well. Cop came, to the police report and gave the cop gave my dad 2 choices. 1) get the guys car towed for not having insurance, 2) ask him for cash to pay for the damage, but the guy had no cash on him. That was it.

 

I thought if you are insured and get into an accident that is not your fault, your insurance will repair your damages. Doesn;t your insurance company have to do the dirty work (gettin money, suing him)?
