its the biggest annoyance to me when you cruising along at 75 and the person in the left lane doesnt go over one lane to let you by. THAT is what causes me to go nuts because you gotta hit the brakes and sit behind them until you have an opening, downshift and go around because ive got almost no good passing power at like 2600rpm-65mph, just to get back up to 75 and sit behind another sloth and do it all again. i dont like doing it but i really dont have the patience to sit and putt along.
just this morning coming back from school i counted (yes counted) 12 cars i had to pass in the left lane doin 65 OR UNDER! this is on 80 and 24

learned it from my dad i guess. hes one of those jerk bmw drivers sometimes ill admit it. but anyways, it lets them know they shouldnt be sitting in the left lane. the only time i go around people and speed is when people are in front me doing under the speed limit.

jk'g. With gas prices lately and most of our cars requiring premium I'm not surprised most ppl are driving slower; however, do it in the slower lanes as driver courtesy. I just don't get why ppl go 65 on the fast lane when there are 3 others that are wide open and carpool is not enforced (hint: Prius owners).
I understand parents that want to take care of their kids. I mean if you think about it this way....
Your normalish family buys their kid a car. Now say the parents are driving a somewhat new lexus or something like that. They kid gets the hand me down toyota or if they're lucky they get a new civic or something like that.
Now you take your rich family. The parent are driving some $190,000 sports sedan and a $110 SUV or what not. That same family can afford to buy their kids what they want. Figure the kid wants and M3... they can afford it so why not. Finance wise that's the same as the normal people buying their kid a used import.
but on the side or common sense... no kid belongs behind the wheel of a 400hp car at that age. You want to buy your kids a nice car and spend $90k on them then buy them a nice sedan.
It just makes no sense regardless of financial standing to put your kids at risk because you want to impress the neighbors with what you can afford to buy your kids. Just another way to throw wealth around.
Stupid. Stupid. Stupid.

Exactly, I wanted a Camaro SS so damn bad when I turned 16. There was a used one I found with over 500 whp and it was within the price range my dad was willing to spend. I could not understand at the time why he would say "no" to such a great "deal". I'd probably be dead today if I'd have gotten that thing. Instead I got a new Honda Prelude. Learned to drive with a stock car. When I graduated we put a turbo on it and made it fast. Knock on wood, to this day I have never been in an accident while I was driving.
man, we have these threads pop up every now and then.
The bottom line when it comes to these types of "man spoiled rich people XYZ" is: yeah, being rich is awesome.

Probably more like it makes them think your a jerk for cuttin'em off.
a prius cut me off on 24..i was in the fast lane and she jumped in front of me to pass the car in front of him but she didnt accelerate at all just like moved over and sat...and no she didnt go back over a lane once past the other car. so yes i passed on the right semi agressively but i didnt cut her off because the lane to the right was open...

maybe its just me, but on a daily basis i have people cut me off, people try to get in my lane when im there, and all sorts of bad stuff, partially because i drive a lot around the richmond district where my parents live and clement and geary are full of really bad drivers, most of them eldery people who drive waaaay to slow.
ive been driving for 3 years and i will NOT drive in traffic times, unless its absolutely necessary that i gotta be somewhere, because i cant deal with traffic, it drives me nuts. bottle neckers around accidents, people who dont know how to merge correctly on the bay bridge. yeah..ive been driving for three years only, mostly in my moms highlander...my car for about three months..and i usually hate driving unless theres no one on the road..theres gotta be someone like me besides my dad when it comes to that...
