The court was told Mazour's Mitsubishi Evolution VIII hurtled across the central reservation in London's Piccadilly Underpass in November 2005 and crashed into a BMW head on.

He had spent the evening drinking, smoking cannabis, partying and clubbing in London's West End.

He ignored requests to slow down and not to drive at all.

Last week, he admitted causing death by dangerous driving, just moments before he was due to stand trial.

Six people were injured in the crash

Michael Austin-Smith, QC, prosecuting, said evidence from his friends showed Mazour had been in a mood to push his Mitsubishi, which had a personalised number plate, to its acceleration limit.

Scientific analysis revealed he had drunk the equivalent of 13 whiskies and was driving at a "greatly excessive" speed.
