Well let me see...my HORRIBLE experience with Gruppe-s began about 1 year ago when i ordered my first set of wheels(which i actually never recieved). I ordered a set of 18x9.5 and 18x8 SSR Professor SP1's for my S2000 in June 2006 iirc. i was told that the wheels would be here in 6-8 weeks, so im like thats fine, because i knew that you usually have to wait for any wheel to be made and delivered from Japan. So fast forward 8 weeks. Gruppe-S said that they would call me when the wheels arrived, but they never did, so i decided to ring them up and see what was going on. I spoke to a salesperson(forget his name), and asked him what was up with my wheels. They told me that the wheels should be here in about a week or so, so at this point im like SWEET!! my ride is gonna finally look good. BUT...not long after i hung up the phone, i get a call back from gruppe-s with some bad news. Apparently, Gruppe-s ordered the right size wheels, but they ordered the WRONG OFFSETS...well isnt that awesome. The next thing the salesperson on the phone does is question me about my offsets. He's saying that there is no way the size/offset combo i ordered would fit on my S2000, just because it isnt listed on their charts for one of their sizes. COME ON MAN, dont question me, i did my research and there are many other people on the S2000 forums that run the same specs i ordered, if not more aggressive. i dont want to run the ugly and conservative offsets you guys offer. So whatever...i told them to reorder the wheels, and this time get the right offset. Another 8 weeks pass, and i decide to give Gruppe-S a call. Again, i forget who i spoke with, because it has been so long now, but they said they would call me back, because they had to call Japan to check my order. So i waited and about 15 minutes later, i get a call back with SOME MORE BAD NEWS. he told me that my wheels were already made and what not, but unfortunately, someone at Gruppe-S completely messed up the order and decided to only order 1 rear wheel and 1 front wheel. COME ON!!!!!!! Now im getting pretty fustrated because its been 4 months now since i have ordered my wheels. The guys at Gruppe-s decided to give me a generous discount since this would be the 3rd time now that they had to reorder these wheels. So i agree and i WAIT another 8 weeks. WHAT DO YOU KNOW...Gruppe-S has decided to delay my wheel order once more. this time, they tell me that the wheels are on backorder and they havent been made yet. BULL ****ING ****!! i dont believe what they say at all, because a member on the S2000 forums ordered the exact same wheels from Gruppe-s, but his actually came in, and he ordered them after i did too. They tell me that itll take another 8 weeks before my wheels finally come in, but i was like HELL NO just give me my money back. So i get my money back, and not long later i ended up spending about 1500 of it on speeding tickets and a lawyer =X.

Now i know that SSR went bankrupt, but when i ordered the wheels, they were already producing them again, because i know a couple members on the forums ordered the same wheels and recieved them when i didnt...i dont know what the hell was going on, but i was pretty pissed that i had to wait 6 months, and then be wheel-less.


So about 3 months ago, i ended up saving enough money for another set of wheels. i decided to go through gruppe-s again because they gave me a very good price since they ****ed up so many times with my last order, and also promised me that it wouldnt happen again. i ordered a set of work emotion cr kai's in 17x9 and 17x8. So i wait 8 weeks again for these wheels, and AGAIN, i never recieved a call from Gruppe-S. this time i am like WTF man...dont tell me they are gonna yank me chain again. I call up Gruppe-S, and i speak with Travis, and i ask him about my wheels. Travis begins feeding me this **** about how Work Emotions are on backorder right now and how my wheels havent been made yet. Yea right...please dont bull**** me, because i spoke to 3 different vendors after ordering these wheels, and they gauranteed me that they would be here in 4-6 weeks and were not on backorder. Travis then asked me to wait another 6-8 weeks, and that he would gaurantee me that this time they would be here for sure. ARE YOU JOKING ME?! i am not going to wait another 6-8 weeks because i know you guys are just gonna lie to me again. I told Travis that i wanted to cancel my wheels, and he said they would do that and not charge me any extra fees or anything. he then says sure thing man, youll get your money back in 3 days. I waited a week, and i never recieved my money back, so now im gettin pretty annoyed, because i had to order my wheels from another vendor ASAP because i didnt want to buy new tires again for my stock wheels. I give gruppe-s a call and speak to travis again, and he tells me to not worry and just wait another 3 days and ill get my money back. So i waited another 3 days, and STILL i didnt get my money back. So i call them again, and...yet again, they tell me to wait another 3 days. are you kidding me.... well i waited another 3 days, and FINALLY today...i recieved my money back.


I just want to thank you Gruppe-S for never delivering on my wheels, and taking 2 weeks to refund me my money back. I will NEVER EVER order anything from you guys again no matter how "great" your prices are, and i want to warn everyone else and let you guys know to never do business with these guys ever again

heh ya.. there might be a RA gear set and 2 sti axles layin around there for me still... i got tired of trying to figure out what was goin on with my parts after half a year of hassle.

 

gruppe-s is a pita to work with...I swear poor *** customer services, its like the sales rep dont even communicate with eachother...

A couple of the guys that work there are cool, Gabe (Mr Wiggles)is a good guy and always professional to deal with.

Your right though, GST & LIC are great shops.

 

yea, Gabe is a good guy, and so is my other buddy that works there..unfortunately the company they work for are going down the drain quickly...
