10mins of non-wasted Time...

Part 1: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q0zEXdDO5JU
Part 2: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iYhDkZjKBEw

Simple, short, and explains a lot of why we're absolutely screwed.

Nice summary. I like how the comments on youtube simplify everything...

Highly oversimplified. Lots of important information missing.

Yes there is a lot missing, like how banks CREATE money, but i mean it isn't too bad, and gives a normal person an idea of why we're going to get rocked this year...

Peter Schiff pretty much sums up what the heck is going to happen to us... i wish I worked with him.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zdVP_sgCETo

He got it right in 2002 and still is preachin about what the hell is going to happen to us. He's been right so far, and has his own business without dumb risky investments.

Look at all those Fox reporters laughing at him. I bet they're not laughing anymore.

2009 is going to be interesting because our economy is crashing... and crashing NOW, not later. We will see the worst of America within our lifetimes.

Oh and one more thing, Sorry for editing... but the biggest banks... BofA and Citigroup WILL be nationalized. Even though they are saying they wont. It'll happen, and that's just as simple as I can tell you guys.

i like the California commercials that theyve been playing for a few years now, and Ahnolds at the end "When kan yuh start?" lol they should just keep airing those, and things will go back to normal.

If anyone's got 60 minutes to kill and would like to get a better understanding of this, PBS has a great little documentary on the beginning of the collapse. It gives a good break down on what went wrong and why it was so sudden.

mark to market accounting regulations will be repealed before they nationalize BofA and citi, that'll be the last ditch effort, and it may actually work b/c if they dont have to acknowledge losses before they actually occur, then their capital reserves dont look as paltry as compared to their debt; meaning the illusion of solvency may hold up for another couple years while the financial system gets itself back in order. but yeah, they'll probably be taken over for a short while anyhow.
