100 unleaded/110 leaded octane gas

Found out that one of the few 100 octane gas carrying stations is open again; and it's close to my work...woo hoo

Anyways, it's still more expensive than 91 but worth a mix for those who are interested. It's the Sunol gas station off 680 and Andrade, $5.84 a gallon for 100 unleaded and $5.94 a gallon for 110 leaded who need race gas.

Saves the time driving to the 76 on Foxworthy down by San Jose.

I'm curious, does anybody know any other gas stations that carry the 100 octane in the Bay Area? Would be great to know the other locations.

I got some Sunoco 110 octane from a Diesel (sp) Shop off TODD ROAD in Santa Rosa.
I think two pales (5 gallons each) ran me somehwere around $85-90 buck

I've wanted to try half a tank of 100 for a while...though I'm worried I won't want to go back to 91 if I do...

You wont see any extra power from that unless you are properly tuned for the mix, if anything you just need 2-3 gallons of 100 for knock prevention

i read on an old thread here or on nasioc that the stock ECU can make the ignition timing more aggressive (ie make more power) to optimize for up to 96 octane

when i use 100 octane at the track for deto protection it seems like part throttle and mid range are stronger but i don't have any dyno # or slips to prove it

also, if i just start using 91 immediately after 100 i will get deto, so there was definitely timing advanced. i recommend resetting the ECU after going back to 91

my car is 100% stock btw
