I'll give a final update and summation when I get my car back.

Looks like I will be doing my own clutch since there are no shops around here that can do it correctly. fu**in shade tree mechanics
I guess when you only make 10 bucks a hour you cant do good repairs.

You should not have paid them till after you test drove the car...

that clutch set up should not chatter at all specially with a new flywheel too.
I put the same clutch in my acura with a new flywheel it was smooth enguagment from day 1 till the day i got rid of it

Im sorry, but you are incorrect in thinking there are no good shops to do labor in the area. There are actually 3 great shops to go to. GB Motorsports, GST Motorsports, and MPJ Performance/ Speed element. kudos to you if you can do it yourself, but be prepared for a veeery long and stressful job, especially if you have a 6 speed.

+1. Hey at least they offered the guy a loaner car. That's more than some other shop(s) have done for their customers.

Well consider yourself fortunate. It seems that a little public defamation goes a long way. IMO Gruppe-s gets some points for trying to make it right for you.
This is leaps and bounds ahead of what those Fawkers at FLI will do for you. So I guess FLI still holds to trophy for "worst bay area shop". Are you taking notes Miles?
