True.

I test drove an MS3 before I got my WRX and wasn't too sold on it with all the torque steer and compact space. However, it is a very formidable car.

I've yet to see a 08+ sedan on the road.

Oh, and yes, I have seen them at the dealership... I just thought it was some kind of practical joke being played on Subaru by those naughty chaps over at Hyundai.

My guess is that they'll get the extra juice out of the motor using a Legacy GT-like turbo.

Hmmmmm....wonder if they're gonna beef up the tranny.

Also....wondering if this will hurt STi sales. Oh well, I'm not changing cars anytime soon

Don't we all wish we got Spec C in the US

Here's the new spy shots for the upcoming one.

Yeah I've seen like 4 08 STi, 4 or 5 08 WRX Hatches, and maybe 1 WRX Sedan...

I get your point, I'm just saying

That might be the S205 or another variant. It's got the wheels of the last RA-R, 6 pot brakes, and no roof vent.

heh, as soon as my buddy saw that article on Autoblog he was like "09 WRX looks like a roided out Corolla". Had to break his heart and say thats what all the sedans lookd like after 08 restyle.

Yes the power bump is because of the Lancer RalliArt, likely due to simple reflashing of ECU. While I'd count the MS3 as similar in power, since its 'only' fwd...I'd leave it to the Calibert SRT/Civic Si tests/VW GTi comparos.

One of my co workers got a MS3, she upgraded from the 'regular' 3 and loves it except for the lower mpg. I've definitely seen more MS3's than 08+ STi's.
Lets hope the allegedly upgraded 09+ wrx's have enough ***** in the tranny to take the power.

ya know, I was thinking about this the other day. I kind of doubt this article (I don't know autoblog's success rate though). Here's why I doubt it though. Subaru toned down the WRX to make it appeal to a wider market (ie: grocery getters and female drivers), so why would they give it 6 months and then decide to make it available in only a manual? That makes no sense. No company would give a new prospect like this only 6 months to prove itself. It just makes no sense! They tone down the image and performance, and then 6 months later decide to beef up the performance a little bit (any suspension upgrades? I forget if it mentioned that) but leave the look toned down? I just don't buy it.
