04wrx vs 03cougar type something
How is it that a 04 wrx could loose to a cougar on the freeway
the guy who was driving the rex said his boost kept on droping is this normal or is his car F_ _ _ed.
His car is stock. I'm just woundering if 04 sucks or cougars are bad a$$

The V6 Cougar is not that fast.
My 2000 Altima was keeping up with one.
If the WRX was out of tune....or if the WRX was an Auto and the Cougar was a stick, and the WRX was caught off guard. Don't forget that the cougar has no turbo lag to deal with.
Also who was driving? The driver has almost as much to do with a race as the engine.
Also, the V6 in the Cougar has a good deal of parts for speed. Eaton makes a blower kit for it, very nice and very fast-once the tires hook up.
The V6 Cougar is not that fast.

No they are both stock well cai on the cougar but thats it
They say its one of the upgraded models so that may have something with it.
Well anyways I'm going to race this on friday to revenge the wrx I have up down pipe 3" turbo back "no cats" 3/16 mod and k&n
no res. will see how he likes me

IIRC the cougar looks sporty, salesman tried to sell me one, but it only had 170 HP at the crank. It may be geared higher, sort of like a Honda due to VTEC is bigger on the top than a stock WRX.
