04 JDM headlights w/black housing

04 JDM headlights w/black housing

Are there two different types of JDM headlights for a 04 WRX. Try to compare both pictures...one looks darker than the other. Where can i purchase the headlights with the black housing?

Car Info: 2004 WRX

You can either
1) do the baked headlight mod and then the koji mod (i.e. bake the headlamp housing, open it up, remove any yellow pieces, and then paint the front part black)
2) buy the JDM 04 housing (around $500) which is the same as stock, just with the amber pieces removed
or
3) wait to buy the 05 model headlamp housings which I think are already painted black (but still have the amber pieces inside?)

Maybe its just the glare on the red car, but it looks like those units are black chrome, similiar to the variant version that the 00'-03' JDM headlights had.
