04-05sti cluster into 03 wrx
Does anybody know if anything needs to be modded to make the 04-05sti cluster work in an 03 wrx? Something about switching the polarity on the abs wire so that the abs light will COME ON when the abs doesn't work, not the other way around? and putting a 2.2k ohm resister in the rear diff temp plug so that the light goes off?
I came across this video on youtube with this description:
"2004 STI gauge cluster in my 2002 WRX. All plug and play except for the "B28" wire that needed to be clipped to keep from blowing radio fuses. The "B28" wire comes from the middle connector and is a yellow wire with a green stripe.
The buzzer and light work as normal. The rear diff temp light is on, which can be turned off by running a ground for it."
Anybody know if there is a way to make the outside temp guage work in the 03 wrx's? I know the 2003 outback came with a outside temp guage, so I'm thinking the 03 wrx has it too, it just might not be installed or something

if i remember correctly... depending on the year you just cut a wire (sorry i don't remember which one) and you may have to flip a connector... (04's you don't)
As for the outside temp. You can buy a temp gauge and then make your own circuit wired to the gauge cluster i believe.
