Save the money on the apps mate, there are a bunch of Suby's going to Sac Raceway this Saturday so you can find out how fast your moving. To answer your original question, No with that 60' your not going to be going that quick!

3-4 seconds is the sort of time you get from 500+ HP supercars.

If you haven't got it properly calibrated, dynolicious will give you some totally crazy numbers.

There is a reason they have disclaimers all over the program-

I find it VERY hard to believe these numbers.

It's just a phone, its not a dyno.

If you want numbers as close to 'official' ones that you can get - use your AP.

does it make a difference if you position the phone in a different orientation? like vertical vs horizontal? or is the accelerometer a perfect sphere and can measure xyz planes?

its not a perfect sphere, its a 3 axis thing so having it tilted will mess up results as it makes it more processing intensive, and I kind of doubt the program is sophisticated enough to handle all that correctly.
