are they that much different than the sedan? i was flipping through the newest R&T and it had the 0-60 for my car at 6.8 seconds!!! what kind of bammer crap is that??
I don't think the wagon's 0-60 is different from the sedan; they have nearly the same weight.
Also, though I can't be certain, is it quite possible that magazine test drivers have varying launch techniques that can influence the 0-60 time? I read somewhere (cannot remember the source) that some test drivers doing the 0-60 don't even launch by dropping the clutch.

motortrend did the quarter in 14.6 and 0-60 in 6.1 in the stick wagon. what i have...
i used my buddies G-tech and i did 0-60 in 6.2 and ran a 14.8 quarter. that was bad driving. we can do much better.

with just an up/dp/catback a friend of mine was able to run a 13.7 at the track with his wagon. I just got up/tbe on and i know it can go 0-60 faster than 6 sec. Even with it stock exhaust i read it should do it in 5.8, whereas 5.6 for the sedan.

Not to mention thier "pro driver" is prolly some 70 pound japanese guy who the car barely notices him in there.

If you read the fine print at the bottom of the ads it says that the 5.4 0-60 time is quoted from a Car & Driver test back in 2001. So it seems more likely the low times are due to a clutch drop than the weight of some magical 70lb Japanese driver. If you check out the artcle the ads quote the writer says right in it that the times were achieved using a launch style that is not likely to make service depts. happy. They same the same is true of their 4.6 0-60 for the STi.
