I looked into it a bit more, and apparently the 2004+ WRX and STi got much beefier brackets. I think Im just going to go that route for now, sense they retail for $11 (strangely the weaker ones for the bugeye are 2-3x more expensive).

Yup. The 04 ones are twice as sturdy. I took mine off and gave em to my buddy to replace his crappy 02's. I put on Whiteline's.

Unless you're running huge sway bars and beating the crap out of your car the stock 04's are gonna be fine. Way better than the 02's.

Heedz... you'd be wise to do the same. It can be very dangerous if they fail mid corner. With you tracking your car I'd at the very least put the 04's on there. But really... I'd use one of your hook ups and get the version 2 whitelines.

I still have my stock FXT ones if they help they are yours (anyone who wants them) but as I understand it they may be a half inch longer(taller) than the wrx ones. I swapped out to the Cobb billet aluminum adjustable units back when I first started my mods.

i installed a new 02-03 WRX bracket for temp purposes (took 15 min). But will def be upgrading to the 04+ brackets soon. I'm currently running the adjustable Cusco swaybars, currently set to 23mm. The whiteline adapters def seem overkill on anything less then a Racecar IMO.

I have Perrin mounts with fatty Whiteline endlinks, and a 24mm sway. More than I 'need'? For what amount to a daily 95% of the time, yes and no. The car is that much more planted for having them, even if admittedly returns start diminishing (the bigger sway with still stock mounts and endlinks made the biggest difference). Call it something that both raises the ceiling, and lowers the floor - going fast feels nice, and going slow feels better too.
