Thumbs down

I do not support the war either, but believe you are right on. They will not be getting my business and I hope they get slapped with significant damages in the suit.

My company is laying people off, but we have a reservist who has been deployed and I am proud to say that he has a job if he comes home alive. I hope he does very soon, he's a great kid.

Being a business owner, I know that companies fire people for a different reason, because sometimes they can't claim the reason they actually fired them for.

In this instance, the company claimed the employee abandoned his job, when he got deployed....when the company could have claimed something else....

I don't understand how they did that knowing what they put his family through, and knowing that the Feds would get him for it.

There are some legitamite situations where I've fired someone "indirectly"....but this is total BS

People don't understand how dirty a job HR is......

I would not doubt the possibility of Pep boys firing someone for missing work. Generally speaking the larger the corporation is the more impersonal they become.......this is the sad fact about big bisness.

Post omg.

Wow that's sad man.

I wouldn't have imagined that from a chain store. They could try to cover their asses better than that. Plus this guys gonna get rich off them.

I hope our boys come back safely.

sure what ever... too bad what Pep boys is doing is ILLEGAL

You cannot fire someone for serving their country. Employers are required to keep a position open for the returning employee.

Amen bong man. I feel guilty...serving here in my plush office, while my comrades are dying in the desert.
