I've had a few run ins with a guy in a caged purple Evo. Its always good fun.
The purple evo by our house and a white evo with pink roll cages are nice guys! Chatted with them both at lights.

I seem to get the same 2 350zs trying to race me all the time, chatted with one of them, he was supercharged.

And of course you always get the hatcback civics. Theres a green turbod one around my house that always shifts from 3rd to 2nd to make his tires spin at a roll.

Also a burnt orange supercharged rsx likes to race people

When ever that happens to me and im sitting at the light i get the person tryin to race thinking im game then when the light turns green then speed off and i proceed as normal. I get a kick out of it.

My favorite are the ricer fly-bys tho. For instance yesterday on the way home from work on 880s right before 85 a slammed integra with 4 dudes in it speeds by going like 85 with all of them just straight staring at me. I really dont get the point? Want me to take a look at your POS?

Ignoring is #2, #1 is when you look at them, point and laugh, THEN you ignore them.

Same thing happened to me last night on 680n....I'm just cruising at 70mph in the 2nd lane and a black civic hatchback pulls maybe 10 feet ahead of me and drops it down to a lower gear revving like crazy...does a few pulls ahead of me and takes off....****ing idiots.

LOL. I probably shouldn't say this one, but it made me laugh. There were two big dudes, like Samoan big, on the freeway in a tiny civic hatch with cut springs and blown shocks. They were bouncing around in there and it literally made me laugh so hard I had tears, so I started bouncing around in my car like them while I was right next to them. That did not go over so well... But there were four of us so the driver just flipped me off and that was the end of it.

This.

As an old fart to you younger subie brothas getting "reved on". Just yawn and go about your way.

You will realize in life how there are MANY applications for this and it will be better for you.

Maybe they are just admiring? Is this how Honda owners show give you mad props bro?

I do the appreciation flybye when I like a car but I do it at +2/3 mph so I can eye**** the **** out of it. The other day I saw a clean early 90's NSX. Gorgeous. I promptly I passed him on the right like the huge douchebag that I am in order to ensure he saw the thumbs up I was laying out the drivers window.

A high percentage of the people contributing to this thread drive wagons.

Unless it is a fellow Subie enthusiast, I rarely give thumbs up unless it is a seriously nice car that I like. I gave thumbs up and a nod to a dude in a Super 7 on 280 in Palo Alto a while back. It was morning and cold and he looked like he was freezing his butt off but he was smiling.

I don't get very many people who want to race me. Either they're faster than I am (in my '98 Forester), or they're not. The BMW 335i is faster, while the Porsche 968 is not. Neither is the Sonoma County Sheriff's Expedition, especially not in the corners.
Typically, I'm commuting late at night or early in the morning, so traffic isn't an issue.
