take your gopro out of the case, and jiggle it. if you have that rattle sound, put your finger on the top buttom and jiggle again. if rattle is gone, here is how to fix it.
it'll get rid of a really battle rattle sound when recording

Bummer. Devil's Slide was my favorite part of that road unless there is traffic. Some of my favorite drives were 2am outage responses where I would have to get from HMB/El Granada to San Bruno ASAP.
It will be interesting to see the tunnel after all these years/dollars, and of course it will be helpful in the event of another slide. HWY 1 is such a kick-*** drive, without the people of course, and the tunnel is just going to make it easier for more clueless people to clog up the roads. The type of people that stop in the middle of a 45mph curve to take a photo.
It's so funny how you get behind someone in a AMG 55 or something going 17mph and then get behind someone in an old pickup with a fridge in the back actually keeping pace. It will be interesting to see how it goes. I will probably drive out there tomorrow if not just to hear my exhaust in the tunnel.

Also, for windy recording, a trick we used to do - if you have a mic port - is to use a remote mic and stick it in the glovebox or something or at least out of the wind. We had good results doing this w/ an MR2 Spyder on track days with the camera (old school sony DV) actually mounted on the rollbar, in the wind, with the mic down just sitting behind the seat. You could hear in-car sounds, the engine and a bit of road/wind noise, but it was not intense. Also, the things people mentioned about foam and finding rattles, all true. You can fix a lot of that with craft felt and glue.

IT was supposed to be a bypass which would've been more cost effective and kept a lot of good view but damn those ****ing frogs....

Wait, wut? The frogs in the trees buy the horse poop infested field next to what's left of the old road off the back of Sweeney Ridge Portola Road that has all the poison oak?
Those frogs?

My phone does not exist in a Harem. But on the interwebs it does.

Looks about as fast and exciting as the tunnels in Guanajuato, LOL. Did you get to hit 35mph at all?
