Ya that is very fair. I say take it and do not look back.

Our 06s were only worth 20-21k after they left the lot, so that seems like a good rate of depreciation to me.

I would consider it in excellent condition according to KBB.com

I've been thinking of getting a used Audi, Mercedes, or BMW. Here's my chance. What do you guys think, am I going too low?
I sure hope you have a reallllly good hookup on a Euro Car. IMO being over at Paul & DBTuned, he has a guy next door that works on maintenance (and surely enough, when the maintenance lights go off, it'll dip deep in your pocket). What's worse is that many of those euro car companies come out with new parts and new tools for those parts different years and models WAYYY more frequently, meaning the maintenance again is gonna dip into your pocket.

In addition, the damn machine just to reset the maintenance reminder icon is like 40grand, so you bet the shops will be chargin' for maintenance to make their investment worth it. IMO I'll never buy one of those cars you've mentioned, including VW just cuz everything is just overpriced. =P

Ok, I'm going for it. I'm going to call the guy up today and let him know it's his.

So, what do yall think about Volvo? There's some good deals on them to. I think I'd rather get a Volvo rather than a SAAB.

Legacy > saab > volvo !!!

Dealers use Manheim info to determine how much to give you for trade in. It lists the going rate of latest sales, as well as how much they could get for the car if it needs to go to auction.

KBB is just showing 16.1 for a good condition 2006 Subaru Impreza WRX Sedan 4D, 17.1k excellent, so yes 17k cash is a good deal for you.

volvos are rip offs. For the price of the decent volvo thats an upgrade=30+. Volvo is not that reliable IMO either. You should get a 135 or something

take it and run, 17k is a good price. you might be able to get 17.5 or MAYBE 18 if you wait more but theres also a chance you would get less later as well!

Tony, we had the same exact car, only mine had triple the miles of your car, and wasn't in as good condition and the insurance gave me 19k, but they always give you more then anyone is willing to pay. $18 is good, $17,000 is a little low, you could MILK 18.5k in this market. But if you really wanna sell right now, that might not be too bad since not too many people are buying cars right now. AT LEAST get 17.5 for it, and thats kinda low too. I'd say 18k.

Yeah, he's right... You can get 18 if you wait and wait. but 17.5 if you can/

His 06 WRX TR is in perfect shape, almost as if it had rolled off the showroom floor. He also has some 18" wheels not sure if its lowered or not, but I think it is with springs.
