$17K cash for my suby - yes or no?

This guy wants to give me 17K cash now for my 2006 Subaru WRX. My car is immaculate, I don't even think anyone has sat in the back seats.

I would consider it in excellent condition according to KBB.com

I've been thinking of getting a used Audi, Mercedes, or BMW. Here's my chance. What do you guys think, am I going too low?

In my experience you can list your car for KBB good condition... but you will most likely have to negotiate from there. KBB sets the ground work for a base price.

I'm looking through craigslist.org for what I would want to get next and I'm finding crazy good deals on SAABs. Like an 07 with 20k miles for $20k!!

Are SAABs not good cars, why so cheep??

Oh, by the way, ride has only 29K miles.

KBB is an advertising product. It is payed for by the car dealers.

The banks use a private source called "black book" if you are a credit union member they may let you look at it. They use it to decide car loans.

The closest public record, and it's damn close, is Edmunds. Look up the price there and it's pretty accurate, nearly identical to the black book, a few minor changes, sometimes Edumunds adds value for an upgrade that the bank doesn't care about such as GPS or DVD, but the add on is usually minor.

For some reason, seems kinda low to me. Do you have a TR or a regular WRX? If the guy doesn't know the difference then go off of the WRX price

KBB doesn't seem to take into account the rarity of cars. Cars like 2nd gen MR2's (getting rarer with all the idiots driving them).

Kinda like how oldschool american muscle gets appreciated, but hakos and such don't have nearly as much.
